Especially when moss is this thick it can cause severe problems. The gaps between the tiles become filled with moss and the water is no longer able to run off as it should, instead the water backs up and spills out underneath the tiles. This can actually happen even before moss has covered a roof to the point shown here. Pressure washing will of course remove the moss and the algae as can been seen in the picture to the upper right. |
